VOICES will be back at Marge’s Donut Den (1751 28th St SW, Wyoming, MI) this Saturday, April 14 for ‘Second Saturdays at Marge’s’, from 10am-5pm, and there are still time slots available!

Here are some stories we’ve collected so far:
- The Wyoming Riddler began creating mind-bending puzzles after an industrial accident exposed him to carbon monoxide and erased his memories.
- Pamela Benjamin came to the U.S. from Australia on a spousal visa only to discover she couldn’t even check out a library book.
- Angelique Mugabekazi fled the atrocities of the Rwandan genocide when she was five years old, then struggled to survive daily life in a lawless refugee camp.
- Grand Rapids native Donna Troost remembers a rubber shortage during World War II and the time her dad had to get permission from the government so that she could ride her bicycle to school.

VOICES, a personal and family history project collects, preserves, and shares the narratives and memories of West Michigan people from all backgrounds, beliefs and experiences. It’s absolutely free. The only cost is your time and your story, whatever that may be. VOICES offers a comfortable portable video recording studio within a relaxed atmosphere.
