Grand Haven Main Street’s tenth ArtWalk invites artists from the local area and beyond to participate in a competition in the following categories: drawing, painting, photography, sculpture (3D), specialty media and, new this year, recycled art. The annual celebration of art happens Sept. 17 to Oct. 7, 2019.
“Taking what ArtPrize started 10 years ago as an opportunity to engage and connect communities and people through the arts, Grand Haven’s two-week ArtWalk celebration of arts and artist continues to grow after 10 years of success”, said Steve Loftis co-chair of the event.
Over 50 venues throughout the Downtown, Waterfront and Centertown of Grand Haven have been selected and are looking for artists to register and participate. Sign up by Aug. 16, and become part of one of West Michigan’s highly acclaimed art competitions.
Registration for ArtWalk 2019 is open and can be accessed online at ghartwalk.com or in person at the Grand Haven Main Street offices located in City Hall. Artist registration closes on Aug. 16, and the official Artwalk opens on Sept. 17.
Artists are asked to connect with a venue and make arrangements for the display of their art. A list of available venues is posted on the ArtWalk website.
