The Holland Area Arts Council’s Jazz in the Gallery Series presents “You Must Believe in Spring” featuring the Jim Cooper Quintet. The concert starts at 7:30 pm on Friday, April 13. Doors open at 7 pm.
Jazz vibraphonist Jim Cooper and company celebrate the spring season with songs from the Great American Songbook, original compositions and more.
The quintet features leader, composer and vibist Jim Cooper, Ugandan guitarist Ivan Akansiima, pianist and vocalist Robin Connell, bassist Chris Kjorness and drummer Tim Froncek. Both Cooper and Connell are both ArtPrize winners for best jazz composition.
The music promises to be jazzy, inspirational and uplifting.
Tickets are $10. They are available online at hollandarts.org and at the door. A cash bar will be provided. Signed CDs will also be available for purchase at the concert.
