While it might be hard to image, Spring is on its way which means planting season will be starting soon.
To help area residents with their gardens, the Kent District Library is offering the Home an dGarden Wellness program at various branches, including Byron Center and Caledonia. The workshop covers how to evaluate your yard for proper garden placement and design, how to test your soil, maintain your plot for three season production, and finally how to harvest and prepare your produce to optimize your nutrition for holistic wellness.
The program will be at the KDL Byron Township Branch, 8191 Byron Center Ave. SW, Wednesday, April 18, and at the Caledonia Township Branch, 6260 92nd St. SE, Tuesday, May 1. Both programs are at 6:30 p.m. Pre-registration is required.
To see when the program will be at other KDL branches or for information on other KDL programs and activities, visit www.kdl.org. You can also register for the program at the website.
