Kent County Veterans Services will hold a Family Fun Day — where local veterans can connect with services while their families enjoy a little fun in the sun — on Saturday, May 12, from 1-4 p.m. The event will take place at the Veterans Services parking lot, 836 Fuller Ave. SE, Grand Rapids. For veterans seeking information on services available locally, there will be resource tables set up. For family entertainment, there will be live music by the Douglas Fine Line, an art workshop for all ages with Pamela Alderman, yoga for all ages and levels with Jessica Shelton, and face painting and balloons for kids and the kid in us all.
