Lakeshore Museum Center (LMC) has announced that it’s time for the adventures to begin! LMC’s Historic Sites open their doors for the season May 2, which means community members can start touring the Hackley and Hume Houses, the Fire Barn, and the Scolnik House of the Depression Era, plus enjoy other exciting events throughout the summer.
Tours of the Hackley and Hume houses start every 20 minutes so there are plenty of chances to visit and learn about the site’s history.
The historic sites will also hold many events throughout the season, including the Hackley Day Celebration over Memorial Day weekend, the popular Victorian Tea, History Buffs for the Whole Family, and Scandal Tours.
Tickets can be purchased at the City Barn (Carriage House) at the Hackley and Hume Historic Site. With a ticket, each visitor will enjoy a classic Hackley and Hume tour as well as the option to tour the Scolnik House of the Depression Era, and the Fire Barn Museum. With a combo ticket, visitors will also have access to the main Museum Center.
