The Rotary Club of Grand Rapids has announced Doris Drain will serve as the Club’s 2022-23 president. Doris is a Senior Vice President of Commercial Loans at United Bank of Michigan where she has worked for 36 years.
“I am very honored to be the face of Grand Rapids Rotary. Rotary is synonymous with service and our Club has so many dedicated members that are doing terrific things both locally and globally. GR Rotary is a place where all are welcome and we are committed to fostering a culture that is inclusive, diverse, equitable, builds goodwill and better friendships,” said Doris.
Doris is dedicated to serving the community and is involved with the Women’s Resource Center, Exalta Health, Local First and Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW). Doris graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Central Michigan University.
“I am also very excited to be serving in the same year as the very first Rotary International President Jennifer Jones and my goal is to help promote her desire for all Rotarians to Imagine Rotary through the Rotary causes of providing clean water, fighting disease, promoting peace, supporting education, growing local economies, protecting the environment and saving mothers and children,” said Doris.
Doris lives in Lowell with her husband David where they raised three children and now in addition have two wonderful daughters-in-law and two beautiful grandsons.
