Presenters at a community event will discuss the latest research on Alzheimer’s disease and the impact it has on patients, caregivers and the health system.
“Alzheimer’s Disease: A Look into the Future” is set for Monday, November 12, 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the L. William Seidman Center, 50 Front Ave. SW, on Grand Valley’s Pew Grand Rapids Campus. The event is free and open to the public; RSVP online at gvsu.edu/vphealth.
The event is part of the “Your Health Lecture Series,” an annual collaboration among Grand Valley, Spectrum Health and Michigan State University College of Human Medicine.
Presenters are Rebecca Davis, professor of nursing at GVSU; Dr. Cynthia Hingtgen, department of clinical neurosciences, Spectrum Health, and associate professor at MSU CHM; and David Morgan, professor of human medicine, MSU CHM.
Representatives from the Area Agency on Aging of Western Michigan, Spectrum Health Neurosciences and the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Michigan Chapter will be available beginning at 5:30 p.m. to share resources.
