As a reminder, the Rapid Connect on-demand pilot program will officially conclude on Friday, Dec. 27, 2024. Although this pilot service is ending, there are still a variety of mobility solutions to keep you connected.

Our fixed routes will continue to serve the six cities of Kentwood, Walker, Grand Rapids, East Grand Rapids, Wyoming, and Grandville. Major destinations, such as Gerald R. Ford International Airport and the Walker Industrial area, will also remain accessible through our existing fixed route service.

Route Service:

Route 27: A Rapid bus route within Kentwood that will bring you to the airport, Monday – Friday. This route transfers to routes 5, 6, 24, 28, and 44 at Kentwood Station.

Route 33: A Rapid express bus route that will connect you from downtown Grand Rapids to the Walker Industrial Area, Monday – Friday, and transfers to various routes at Central Station.

Additional Resources:

PASS (Passenger Adaptive Suburban Service): A $3.50 suburban feeder shuttle that gets you from your curb to The Rapid’s fixed-route system, with a free transfer included. If you live more than one-third of a mile off a bus line, PASS may be able to connect you to the nearest bus stop. View PASS service area at the link above.

Transit app: Plan trips, track buses, and travel stress-free with the Transit app! See all bus routes, unlimited bus schedules, real-time arrivals, personalized avatars, and step-by-step directions all in one convenient place in the language you prefer.

West Michigan Rides: A free ride-matching program that helps you find carpooling, biking, or transit options within Kent, Ottawa, and Allegan counties.
