Starting Nov. 1, Silent Observer will start taking anonymous tips for Ionia County.
While Silent Observer receives tips from many areas around West Michigan, Silent Observer specifically targeted unsolved crimes in Kent County. Through collaboration with law enforcement agencies in Ionia County, Silent Observer will now be partnering with both Ionia County and Kent County in order to empower community members in both counties to report their information about crime anonymously. Silent Observer is thrilled to start this partnership.
“The Ionia County Law Enforcement Agencies are excited to team up with Silent Observer to provide a resource for citizens of Ionia County to report crimes and information anonymously,” said Ionia Cournty Sheriff Charlie Noll. “Our communities help in fighting crime is extremely important and necessary to continue providing a safe and healthy place for all to live and work.”
There are three ways to submit anonymous tips to Silent Observer. Residents can submit a tip from a smart phone through the Silent Observer App, (downloaded in the App Store); call 616-774- 2345; or a tip can be submitted by visiting www.silentobserver.org.
Silent Observer is an avenue for individuals to report non-urgent information on crime safely and anonymously to help make their communities safer. If you have any information on an unsolved crime, location of a fugitive, or a crime that is being planned, contact Silent Observer with your information and you may be eligible for a cash reward if the information received in the tip leads to an arrest.
