More than 20 West Michigan employers will be at Woodland Mall on Thursday, Oct. 11, seeking to fill 100+ positions during the Employment Expo sponsored by SpartanNash.

Job seekers will have the opportunity to vie for positions with local employers such as SpartanNash, Health Care Associates & Community Care Givers, Northern Staffing Services, Spectrum Health and UM Wireless from 1 to 8 p.m.

Many Woodland Mall retailers will also be participating with seasonal employment opportunities as they gear up for the holiday rush, as well as permanent positions, including full-time management roles.

Recently announced first-to-market retailer Altar’d State will be hiring, along with Bath & Body Works, H&M, J.Crew, JCPenney, JCPenney Portrait Studio, Justice, Macy’s, Piercing Pagoda, PINK, Pottery Barn, Premier Dead Sea Skincare, Soma, Starbucks, Victoria’s Secret and Wetzel’s Pretzels.

Hourly wages for entry-level sales associate positions at the mall range from $12 to $14. The average salary for management positions is $55,000.

“We are delighted to host this expo and help connect job seekers with great West Michigan employers,” said Cecily McCabe, Woodland Mall marketing director. “Woodland Mall is excited to participate as our retailers offers excellent career options with good wages for anyone interested in retail.

“Now is an especially exciting time to get involved because of the forthcoming redevelopment at the mall, which is evolving our retail mix and redefining the shopping experience for consumers.”

Nearly 6,000 visitors are expected to pass through on the day of the Employment Expo sponsored by SpartanNash. There are booths available for additional employers to participate. Registration includes free tables, chairs, wi-fi and parking. Businesses interested in registering may complete an application online.
